Tasting notes

"(...) the 2013 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux St Jacques has a musty, earthy nose, a touch of mushroom here and it feels rather loose knit. The palate is medium-bodied with a pinched entry. There is some hardness here, moderate depth and it does not really "flow" although it does improve with aeration in the glass. Perhaps bottle age will mellow this Lavaux Saint-Jacques, yet it pulls up short. (...)"
