Tasting notes

"Beautiful, layered, textured red with elegance and power.Layers of cloves, nutmeg and herbs with dark berry fruit in the background. The berries here are tiny compared with the other vines in this vineyard. Only 2 barrels made. The first pickers that go through the vineyard only select the grapes from the oldest of the oldest vines (around 100 years old). Only the second time this cuvee has been made since 2010. "

The Domaine Fourrier (previously known as Pernot-Fourrier) has a long history in Gevrey Chambertin extending over four generations.

The Domaine Fourrier owns 9 hectares of vineyards spread amongst the communes of Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-St.-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot.

The wines made from any vines less than 30 years old are sold to négociants rather than being bottled at the domaine.
