"The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux St. Jacques is a knock-out. Rich, dark and sensual, the Lavaux St. Jacques is full of fabulous scents of black cherries, freshly cut flowers, menthol and licorice, all of which are supported by firm, insistent tannins. The 2010 is a massively structured wine that will require considerable patience, but it is a stunner. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2035.   "

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Domain Claude Dugat is a tiny domaine in Burgundy with cult status, and the quality to match.

The vines are situated in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin. They are planted on clay and limestone soil and are Guyot pruned.

The Domaine practices la 'lutte-raisonée', the vineyards are monitored continuously throughout the year, tended to by hand in order to keep the amount of required treatments to a minimum.
