"The 2009 Volnay Clos des Chenes is a delicate, perfumed wine graced with weightless, translucent fruit. Dark red berries, plums, spices and cedar linger on the effortless, long finish. Drouhin used 10-15% whole clusters here. (...)"

Joseph Drouhin founded the négociant company which bears his name in 1880.

Joseph Drouhin has three wineries: one in Beaune (its headquarters), one in Chablis, and, since 1988, a third in Oregon's Willamette Valley. 

Today, Drouhin follows biodynamic principles in the vineyards they own; organic farming is being practiced throughout all Drouhin properties.
