"*Outstanding* Black cherry and raspberry aromas precede rich, full and sweet flavors underpinned by notably finer tannins but interestingly, this is actually less complex than the Gevrey villages. However, the underlying material here is first rate and I expect that additional depth will come with time in bottle and I particularly like the punch and vivacity."

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Louis Boillot has come to Chambolle, where his partner Ghislaine Barthod is based, from Gevrey-Chambertin, though as his range of wines indicates, he is descended from the Volnay family of Boillots.

He today farms around 7ha, covering nine different appellations, from regional Burgundy to Premier Cru.
