"The 2012 Volnay 1er Cru Champans was showing signs of closing down since I tasted it the previous year. There are still those strawberry and cranberry aromas but they are hidden in this wine's tight fist. The palate is medium-bodied, the tannins just hardened up since 2014, (...)"

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Domaine Marquis d’Angerville is situated in the heart of Volnay, in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune and consists of 13.5 hectares of vineyards, which includes holdings in no fewer than 8 Volnay 1er crus and smaller holdings in Pommard and Meursault. Pride of place belongs to the 2.90 hectare monopole of Clos Des Ducs in Volnay.
It is owned and run by Guillaume d’Angerville, who left his Paris banking job to take over in 2003 following the sudden death of his father, Jacques d’Angerville.
