"The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Saint-Jacques is flat-out beautiful. There is plenty of 2010 richness in the glass, yet the wine also has elements of finesse and gracefulness to balance some of its more overt qualities. Dark red cherries, menthol, mint, cinnamon and licorice are woven together beautifully in this delineated, finely sculpted wine. There is a centeredness and poise to the Clos Saint-Jacques that is compelling. (...)"

Sylvie Esmonin is an energetic and passionate winemaker, and an avid traditionalist. The domaine is fully organic but not certified.

The estate comprises five hectares in Gevrey-Chambertin, with a sizeable plot of the Premier Cru Clos St-Jacques just behind the family house’s garden!
