"Strong reduction blocks an appreciation of the nose but there is good vibrancy to the wonderfully rich, dense and serious big-bodied flavors that are blessed with an abundance of dry extract that helps to buffer what are very firm but ripe tannins. Complementing the powerful flavors is a strikingly long finish and this is built to reward 10 to 12 years of cellar time."
