This edition of Tenuta San Guido's mid-level wine offers a bigger aromatic profile, more texture and more volume as well. Dark cherry and blackberry segue to spice, tar, leather and sweet fruit at the end. The mouthfeel is elegantly shaped, silky and nuanced. (...)"

Sassicaia is one of the greatest wines of Italy and one of the first reds produced in Italiy to be in the image of great Bordeaux.

The first vintage was produced in 1968 under the denomination "Vino da tavola" (table wine). It's only around 1990, it has obtained the DOC designation.
