The Berthaut-Gerbet Echezeaux is quite rare I do find the potential very fine indeed – and the plots are definitely worth a closer look.

omaine Berthaut-Gerbet now have plots in Les Treux (4.90 ha), Les Quartiers de Nuits (1.13 ha) and Les Champs Traversins (3.59 ha) … and will from the 2019 vintage have plots at the very bottom of the vineyard, the middle and the top end of Echezeaux. The Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet have three sections in Echezeaux and from 2018 the total area is 0.2126 ha.

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Amélie Berthaut took over the family domaine located in the village of Fixin in 2013. 2013 was also the first year she was fully responsible entire range, although she participated in the making some of the 2012s (the 2012 Gevrey Chambertin 1er cru Lavaut st Jacques was the first wine solely made by her).

Amélie belongs to the group of young generation talented wine makers taking over more and more domaines in Burgundy over the last decade.
