  • Von Tscharner / Schloss Reichenau

Schloss Reichenau is currently in the possession of Gian-Battista von Tscharner, a remarkable personality who makes equally remarkable wines that are powerful and firm on the one hand and silky, precise and seductive on the other. In 2016, Gian-Battista handed over the running of the estate to son Johann-Baptista, who has subtly tweaked the house style in favour of greater elegance and freshness without forfeiting the singular character for which Schloss Reichenau wines are known.

  • Vouette & Sorbée

Gautherot’s five-hectare estate is named after his two primary vineyards: Vouette on Kimmeridgian soil—the fossilized oyster-laden marl that it shares with Chablis—and Sorbée on Portlandian soil, also found in Chablis, further up the slope.

This makes his wines true Champagnes de Terroir, with his Fidèle—named for the faithfulness with which it expresses its places of origin—pure Pinot Noir from Vouette and Biaunes, and Blanc d’Argile his all-Chardonnay cuvée from Biaunes.

  • W & J Graham's

Named in 2016 by UK trade magazine Drinks International as 'The most admired Port brand in the world ', Graham’s Port was founded in 1820 by a Scottish family with wide interests in Portugal.

Graham’s Ports are famous for their rich and seductive complexity, full-bodied structure and superb ageing potential; they have earned their place among the greatest Ports ever produced.

  • Warre's

Warre’s, founded in 1670, was the first British Port company established in Portugal and therefore the pioneer of a great tradition; its history is synonymous with that of Port itself.

  • WEINGUT A. CHRISTMANN

The estate of 20 hectares dates back to 1798. The recent history is one of grandfather, father and daughter.

The Christmann winery is in the village of Gimmeldingen in the centre of the Mittelhaart area, with the Haardt Mountains as a protective backdrop. It is a stunning part of the world with a patchwork of vineyards, akin to Burgundy in many ways.

  • Weingut Battenfeld-Spanier

Battenfield-Spanier is co-owned by Carolin Spanier-Gillot and her husband H.O. Spanier.

They are located in the Rheinhessen - in northern Germany close to the Rheingau. The Rheinhessen is the largest region in Germany and has over 24,000 hectares (65,000+ acres) and there are tons of different terroirs; historically, it has been more notorious for making wine that is more about quantity than quality.

  • WEINGUT CARL LOEWEN

The Carl Loewen estate dates back to 1803 when an agent in Paris purchased a set of vineyards and buildings owned by the Maximin order.

Weingut Carl Loewen has grown over the past three generations from 1ha to 15 today. The estate is currently run by Christopher Loewen and his father Karl-Josef. In the late 1980s and 1990s, Karl-Josef was always looking for old vineyards and grew the estate by purchasing steep old vineyards (low yielding) that no one wanted to work anymore. Now the estate is spread over 4 villages – Leiwen, Longuich, Detzem, and Thörnich. More than 50% of the holdings are ungrafted, very old vines, from 60-120 years old, and on steep slopes.

  • Weingut Donatsch

Domaine Donatsch consists of approximately 15 acres of vineyards.

Pinot Noir accounts for 50% of annual production, Chardonnay 17%, Completer 17%, Pinot Blanc 10%, and other varieties 6%. The average production per year is 30,000 bottles or 2500 cases.

Three different Pinot Noirs are made – “Tradition”, “Passion”, and “Unique”. To use a Burgundian comparison, “Tradition” is like a village wine, “Passion” is a 1er Cru, and “Unique” is a Grand Cru.

  • Weingut Dönnhoff

As the most distinguished producer in the Nahe region, the Dönnhoff estate is world-renowned for their high-quality Riesling wines.

The Dönnhoff family has been producing wine in this region since the 1750s, and today, under the direction of Helmut Dönnhoff and his son, Cornelius, the estate continues to craft top wines. Helmut was awarded with the title of Best German Oenologist by Frankfurter Allegmeine Zeitung in 2014, proving his stellar capabilities.

  • Weingut Egon Müller Scharzhofberg

The Egon Müller estate has been in the hands of the Müller family since 1797.

Egon Müller’s wines are all made using estate-grown fruit from two parcels: 8.3 hectares of Scharzhof and 4 hectares of Le Gallais.

The Scharzhofberg, or Scharzhof Mountain, is among the finest Riesling sites in Germany and is considered Grand Cru.

  • Weingut Ewald Zweytick

One of the best white wine producers in Austria. His Sauvignon Blanc, his Chardonnay, his Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc and the Yellow Muskateller are among the very best on the market.

  • WEINGUT FRANZEN

Steep, steeper, Calmont. Part of the 9 ha estate of the Franzen’s lies on Europe’s steepest vineyard: The Bremmer Calmont. Ecological aspects play an important part in its cultivation, as traditional experience is combined with the most up-to-date oenological and ecological discoveries.
