Tasting notes

Vines located at some 700 meters give freshness to this high-altitude Merlot. Late maturity gives it fruity and floral aromas. Valentina Andrei picked the grapes at dawn and kept the harvest cool to ensure a slow fermentation that blooms inside each grape. “The grapes were magnificent. It looked like caviar in the vat,” confides Valentina, who aged this vintage for 10 months in 2nd and 3rd passage barrels in order to aerate it, to give it complexity without, however, marking it with wood.
