Tasting notes

"The 2018 Pinot Noir Cuvée Charlotte is deep, rich and clear on the darker-toned nose compared to the Gavotte twin. We have more nougat aromas here and a warmer, riper, richer fruit with blackberry, graphite and flinty notes as well as refreshing sour cherry aromas. Just give it some air and the bouquet becomes younger, purer, fresher and more chalky and shows more and more red berries. A fascinating journey for your nose. Silky textured and fresh on the palate, this is an intense and tight yet elegant and refined Pinot that becomes much purer and fresher on the palate than expected from the first nose. The finish is grippy, even salty, stimulating and clear. The tannins are crisp and fresh, structuring this intense and concentrated Pinot. The finish is wide and complex and always stimulating in its refreshing grip and purity. Most probably the finest red I have tasted from Louis-Philippe Burgat."
