This small house has been in the family for four generations and they use grapes from grand cru vineyards only.

After bottling, the champagnes spend a long period of time on the lees for Brut Tradition for at least 3 years, and the other cuvées significantly longer.

Maison en belles lies (Pierre Fenals)

Pierre’s winery is located in Saint-Aubin and he now also rents and owns vines in Santenay, Monthelie and Corton including a plot of Le Corton itself.

As for the name Belles Lies, it derives from a practice developed by 17th century monks who would dry their barrels and rub them with the lees from the vintage. A fitting technique for a vigneron who is yielding pure, traditional translations of place.

Maison Romane

The house – Maison Roman – is an old house that dates back to the thirteenth century. Oronce has always been passionated about Burgundy and its different terroirs, so he followed his dream to make great, natural wines by creating his own small vinery in his old cellar.

Oronce buys grapes from friends that farms organic and mainly biodynamic, but plows the vineyards himself with Prosper and Quatro, his horses. He works with quite a wide spread of sites, from Marsannay to Chablis, to be able to show the diversity of the terroirs.

MAISON VALETTE

Three generations of winemakers have worked this 8.5 ha estate in Chaintre, a small village in the south of Burgundy between the Mâcon and Beaujolais. Philippe’s father was the first farmer in the region to stop selling grapes to the co-op and create his own Domaine wine.

Marc Sorrel

The domaine Marc Sorrel produces two Hermitage Rouge wines and two Hermitage white wines.

Marc Sorrel Hermitage Rouge is produced from mostly vines located in the Les Bessards, Les Greffieux and Les Plantiers lieux-dits. The fruit is always destemmed. The wines are aged in used, French oak barrels for 12 months.

Marc Sorrel Le Greal comes from vines in the Le Meal vineyard, on a terroir of steep hillsides with granite, limestone, sand and clay soils. Many of the vines, perhaps up to 90% are planted around the middle of the slope for the Le Meal vineyard which is a warmer micro climate than other parts of Le Meal.
