Tenuta Monteverro

The winery was founded by German-born Swiss entrepreneur, Georg Weber in the early 2000s.

He established the estate with aims to craft his very own first-class Premier Grand Cru Tuscan wine.

The first vines were planted in 2004, just outside of the Capalbio village, however, today, the property unfolds over 50-hectares – 27 of which are vineyards. The Weber family strives for perfection in every step they take.

Today, Monteverro is regarded as one of Italy’s leading Super-Tuscan producers. Their eponymous wine is also their Premier Cru. With the same proportions of Bordeaux varietals as their second wine, Terra di Monteverro, Monteverro is a complex and structured red with 24 months ageing in 80% new French-oak barrels.
