"The golden colored 2005 Vouvray Clos du Bourg Moelleux Première Trie offers an intense and concentrated, honey-sweet and chamomile-flavored bouquet, with some chalk and caramel flavors, whereas the fruit aromas are beautifully integrated. Sweet, smooth, mineral and very elegant on the palate, this is a great, full-bodied, dense and perfectly balanced Moelleux of great finesse and provided with tension, an already accessible maturity and a lingering and stimulating salinity in the very good finish. Very sensual and absolutely beautiful to drink on its own. (...)"

Le Clos du Bourg, which was purchased by Gaston in 1953, is the oldest site in the appellation of Vouvray, dating back to the eighth century.
