"Cork was a bit decayed. Greenish tawny – almost looks like a madeira. A little oxidised but not spoilt. Very rich and fine and nutty. Lots of polished walnuts about this. Great vibrancy. So clean and fresh! Masses of acidity but counterbalanced but rich dried fruits. "

The estate comprises three vineyards, all with their own unique blueprint and personality: Le Haut-Lieu, Le Clos du Bourg and Le Mont.
Le Clos du Bourg, which was purchased by Gaston in 1953, is the oldest site in the appellation of Vouvray, dating back to the eighth century.
