" The 2012 Gevrey Chambertin from the talented Arnaud Mortet seemed a little bashful on the nose, but with aeration it reveals attractive blackberry and wild strawberry scents that are well defined, just a touch of sous-bois with further opening. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded ripe tannin, plenty of bold dark cherry and raspberry fruit that exerts a gentle grip..(...)"

Domaine Denis Mortet in Burgundy was founded by Denis Mortet in the early 1990s.

The Domaine's 10 hectares encompass 14 different Appellations, including two Grands Crus - Clos-de-Vougeot and Chambertin - and are a far cry from the days of his father, Charles, who started off with only one hectare.
