Tasting notes

"A ripe and distinctly smoky nose features notes of both white and yellow orchard fruit that flirts with hints of the exotic. There is more volume if less evident minerality to the attractively textured medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with dry extract that also serves to buffer the moderately firm citrus-tinged acid spine shaping the lingering finish. This needs to develop more depth but the aging curve appears be sufficiently long to permit that to occur."

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Formerly known as Domaine François Jobard, then more recently as François et Antoine Jobard, the label changed to Antoine with the 2008 vintage. This has been a family domaine since around 1860 and is currently with its fifth generation.

Antoine is today responsible for 6 hectares, so roughly 32,000 bottles per year. The domaine is today 100% white wine of which 95% is Meursault based.
