Tasting notes

Surrounded on every side by forest, this 1.1ha parcel of village-level Combe d'Orveau is strongly influenced by the cool air from the Hautes Côtes. This fresh terroir did very well in 2019, producing a wine of vivid colour and a pronounced, aromatic perfume of ripe cherry fruit, with notes of mineral and smoke. Matured in 30% new casks.

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

The Domaine Anne Gros covers 6.5 hectares in and around Vosne-Romanée where she is located. She has three grand crus – Richebourg, Echezeaux and Clos de Vougeot – but no premier crus.

On village level there is Vosne-Romanée, Les Barreaux, and Chambolle-Musigny, La Combe d'Orveau, and then there is both Bourgogne and Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits in red and white.
