"One of the finest as well as longest-lived wines of the vintage, this opaque purple-colored 1994 needs 7-10 years of cellaring. This rich, impressive, full-bodied wine represents the finest Pontet-Canet produced since the 1961. This full-bodied, purely made wine is crammed with black currant fruit, as well as forbiddingly tannic and backward."

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Guy Tesseron bought Pontet-Canet in 1975. Helped by the prestigious heritage left by his predecessors and determined to maintain its renown, he devoted all his care and attention to this growth.

Since 1982, the château produces a second label: Château les Hauts de Pontet" made from the vineyard's young vines, which is named from 2000 on "les Hauts de Pontet-Canet."
