Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2010 - domaine Georges Roumier

Tasting notes

"A ripe, beautifully complex and expressive nose of pear, white flower, green apple and lemon rind introduces very rich and intensely mineral-driven broad-shouldered flavors that possess excellent size and weight. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension that will make this a pleasure to drink while culminating in a vibrant, pure and strikingly persistent finish that is presently displaying moderate austerity.

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

The heart of the 12 hectare Roumier domaine, as always, lies in Chambolle-Musigny. Their cherished parcels include structured magnificent consistent Bonnes-Mares, outstanding but more variable Musigny, fragrant complex Les Amoureuses, and unique Clos de la Bussiere (monopole) among others.

The winemaker at the Domaine Georges Roumier is the 52 year old Christophe, son of Jean-Marie.

The wines are seductively fruity in their youth yet with excellent ageing potential.
