"(...) 2017 Pontet-Canet gives up beautifully fragrant notes of rosehip tea, lilacs, cinnamon stick, cloves, dried leaves and underbrush with a core of kirsch, raspberry coulis, warm plums and red and black currants plus a waft of pencil shavings. Medium-bodied, the palate is refreshing, minerally and wonderfully elegant with a well-played texture of approachable, plush tannins and a long, fragrant finish. (...)."

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Guy Tesseron bought Pontet-Canet in 1975. Helped by the prestigious heritage left by his predecessors and determined to maintain its renown, he devoted all his care and attention to this growth.

Since 1982, the château produces a second label: Château les Hauts de Pontet" made from the vineyard's young vines, which is named from 2000 on "les Hauts de Pontet-Canet."

Plantation density: 9'800 vines/ha;

Age of the vines: 35 years;

Second wine: Les Hauts de Pontet

Wine variety: Cabernet Sauvignon 56%, Merlot 37%, Cabernet Franc 7%;
