Tasting notes

"Palmer's 1992 revealed good ripeness and more concentration from cask samples. Now that it has been bottled, it is clear that the fining/filtration done at bottling has removed some of the delicately constructed fruit and finesse. The color is a medium ruby and the nose offers up aggressive aromas of toasty new oak, black-cherry and blackcurrant fruit. (...)"

Palmer terroir expresses itself through two wines of great finesse that are the result of a strict quality selection:

  • Château Palmer, made from the richest vats, is a wine for long ageing whose reputation is well-established;
  • Alter Ego de Palmer, a more supple wine which reaches maturiy sooner.

This dedication to traduction and quality explains the excellent reputation that Palmer's wines enjoy today.

Wine variety : 47% cabernet sauvignon, 47% merlot, 6% petit verdot;
