Possessing almost no acidity, it's a flamboyant, massively concentrated, decadent and heady effort that's overflowing with notions of honey, caramelized oranges, currants, licorice and buttered hazelnuts. INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Since 1481 , the Chave family reigns over the vineyards of the Hermitage. The Jean-Louis Chave area covers 15 hectares in which Hermitage third white ( 20% Roussanne and Marsanne 80% ) .

The red comes from the hermitage best " neighborhoods " of Beaume , the Ermite , and reflects the strength of Bessards.

In the finest vintages, Chave produces tiny amounts of a superexpensive luxury cuvée Cathelin.
