Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 1999 - domaine Bouchard

Tasting notes

Regrettably, only 50 cases (2 barrels) of this fabulous wine were produced.

91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

"Full deep red. Somewhat exotic aromas of raspberry and cocoa powder. Dense, sweet and sappy, with a mineral component contributing to the wine impression of firmness. A bit reduced today, and still folded in on itself. Finishes with substantial mouthdusting tannins that will require at least six to eight years of additional bottle aging."
