"From the great 2009 vintage, this is a blockbuster Grand Cru. Bouchard's .24 hectares on this legendary site consist of rocky limestone, the resulting drainage and mineral-rich soils offering vibrant fruit and ripe tannins (especially in warm 2009) balanced with fresh acidity and a distinctly earthy-mineral and spicy perfume. Elegant and structured but at the same time a hugely expressive and brooding wine, there is so much flavour and mineral density that it's almost too much for one mouthful...time alone can integrate and unfurl everything happening here. A last chance to collect this serious vintage - grab this!"
