Arachon Evolution 1997, T-FX-T - Horitschon

Tasting notes

"Our first wine is called ARACHON T.FX.T. It is released on September 1st, two years following the vintage. ARACHON is the former name for the wine-growing town of Horitschon, from the Middle Ages around 1540, and is where the wine is produced today. ARACHON T.FX.T may be enjoyed in a decanter upon its release, or cellared for 10 to 15 years."

INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ESTATE

Since the Middle Ages, the region around Horitschon has enjoyed the reputation for producing quality red wine, and in 1540AD, the town was called Arachon, which means “there, by the oak trees” in the old local Slavonic-Slovenian language. Manfred Tement, himself a passionate red wine enthusiast, recognised the potential of the vineyards and soil.
